I’ve kept honeybees completely organically for four years. I manage four (soon-to-be eight) hives. Responsible beekeeping requires book learning and hands-on experience. I belong to the Maine State Beekeepers’ Association and am active in the Kennebec chapter. I’m happy to discuss any aspect of beekeeping with people who are interested. I’d also be open to inviting those considering keeping bees to come out for an open hive inspection. (I have veils, jackets and necessary equipment.)
